Portraits and Mail Order Brides = Items That Make You Go Hmmmm……..
There are things that just make you go hmmmmmm….. Issues like Spencer and Heidi Pratt staying famous, O.J. getting found not guilty, George W., and my individual favored, the popularity of Crocs (if you are not in a profession in which you stand on your feet all day you really should NOT be wearing them). At times folks we really like say items (or do points) that make us question our own judgment. Typically until this thing is stated or done, you view the particular person as a regular, functioning human staying, but after – all bets are off. I want to talk about two statements that were said to me. These had been mentioned to me really casually, and by the identical particular person.
The very first statement that made me go hmmmmm……”I want a portrait of myself subsequent to books, with a hat, holding a cigar. A large one particular to hang up in my house”. So let me break down why this is even a small stranger then it sounds, this individual DID NOT Study! Any book I attempted to shove at him, was rejected, even “Harry Potter”! So to be painted in front of books is just absurd. That is like me saying I want to a portrait of myself at a camp ground in a tent! Duh! The other point is, that is just strange. I suggest, why do I want to stare at a giant me. Specially if I was a tiny less then perfect (calling a spade a spade here), I would not want to present that off in all it is ten foot glory. I felt that it was just this kind of a narcissistic b.s. issue to do. It really is funny how this wish turned out to speak volumes of his true self.
The 2nd statement that made me go hmmmmmm….”I looked into a Russian mail order bride. I still get the emails, I seriously thought about it”. I am going to give you a brief minute to digest that one, it is a biggie. So this was stated to me simply because we had met a person who had a mail order bride from China. She was quite sweet, and to be perfectly frank, I really feel that this particular person did the mail order thing for all the correct factors (if there are correct causes for doing that). And he even tried to learn Chinese for her….sweet. Nevertheless, I do not think this Russian bride thought was for the appropriate reasons. Why do I feel that? Ah, let me inform you – when I asked why would he EVER do that, the response was this: Due to the fact we each get what we want, she gets to reside in America and I get a wife who will cook, clean, raise youngsters, and I do not have to be concerned about it. Now I found this out following three many years of understanding this individual. That is now extra to the list of queries for the second date. Once again, this also showed me what type of individual he was…turned out to be right.
So there you have it, two correct stories that make you go hmmmm…. If you feel I am creating this up, think again – this is greater then Anything I could visualize. This is true, true crazy. It’s not funny when your facing it, but I undoubtedly get a broad eyed howl out of it at dinner parties now!

The other is on a sad note: RIP Casey Johnson. I don’t forget seeing her in a documentary about socialites on HBO long ago, she seemed sweet, wise, and even standard. I do hope she has found peace.
